Burn the Fat Program Review
The internet is now a staple in millions of households—it is now also a staple of the diet and weight loss industry. Countless weight loss books and diet plans are sold and circulated online every day. With so much to choose from, it’s no surprise that there are, let’s be honest, a lot of fakes and scams and too-good-to-be-true stories intended to basically take your money and run. So how do you tell a genuine weight loss program from the online equivalent of a shady guy selling stereos from his beat up van? You look for reviews to help you decide what to buy and what to avoid.
This review of Tom Venuto’s “Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle” program will provide a general overview of the program , my own personal review, and finally it will let you know whether this program is really worth your hard earned money and precious time.
Let’s begin with a general overview of the Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle program.
Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle (let’s just call it Burn the Fat for short!) was first sold in 2003 and has since sold thousands of copies in over 135 countries. The book was written by Tom Venuto, who is a natural body builder. (A natural body builder, for those not in the know, is a body builder who does not use steroids or other drugs to develop muscles.) Tom Venuto, by the way, is not just a body builder. He earned a bachelor of science degree in Adult Health and Fitness, or Exercise Science. In addition to body building, he has directed numerous fitness and gym centers around the United States and makes frequent guest appearances.
So, right from the start we know that this wasn’t written by some bored out of shape guy looking to make a few quick bucks online. That’s always a plus with any eBook or internet based program, because when you know who actually developed the program and wrote the book, it’s a much safer bet it’s on the more legitimate side.
The program itself is different from other weight loss programs because it’s not just based on appearance, but actual athletic wellness. Burn the Fat focuses on losing fat AND increasing your muscle tone at the same time. Instead of aiming to turn your body into a thin but out of shape figure with no muscle tone, the Burn the Fat program aims to make you lose weight and build muscle to keep your body looking toned and athletic. Now, maybe you’re not interested in building up your muscle – that’s your decision. But why pass up a program which actually wants to give you an athletic, fit and healthy body? Let’s look a little more at the specifics of the program to see what else it has to offer.
First, let’s clear this up: There are no fat burning supplements, steroids or other chemicals involved in this program. The program is entirely natural – without pills or other medications intended to enhance your performance.
Now, onto the program. If you’re hoping for a lazy, miracle lose weight/gain muscle program… yeah, you’re out of luck. The program does involve getting you to the gym or home gym to work out. It’s a vital part of the program, and you will be working out. Burn the Fat teaches you which exercises are going to burn the most fat off your body, while increasing your muscle tone and getting you into more athletic shape.
The exercises in the program are geared toward strengthening your body, not just dropping pounds. The program offers plenty of advice on which exercises to do, which exercises are going to work well for your body type, and how you need to do this exercises to get the most benefit out of them. To me, this is a good sign for any weight loss program. Anything that promises a miracle cure with next to now work involved usually raises my suspicion. But the focus on healthy and strong exercise is reasonable and effective.
Burn the Fat also features a nutrition guide, and recommends foods you need to increase in your diet as well as types of food that need to be decreased. The types of foods you eat, according to this program, can greatly help or hinder your weight loss/muscle gain progress. Generally, the program recommends increasing your lean proteins, vegetables, complex carbohydrates and healthy fats. There is an extensive section in the program which covers this nutrition. Some might find it too extensive… but, if you really want to change your body, you have to know what should go into it and how certain foods can affect your body.
Finally, let’s look at some basic pros and cons of the program.
Pros:
*Developer of the program is a body builder who obviously knows his stuff
*No chemicals, medications or supplements
*Extensive exercise and nutrition guide is helpful for athletes and non-athletes
*Focuses on gaining muscle and toning the body, not just dropping weight
*Reasonably priced while offering a good amount of information
Cons:
*If you’re not into exercise, you will probably not like the program
*Guide to nutrition and food may be a bit overwhelming for some people
In the end, do I recommend the Burn the Fat program? Yes. If you’re looking to get your body into a toned, athletic shape, I think you’ll really benefit from this programs natural way of getting you into great shape without relying on pills or shots.
