In a recent poll conducted visitors were asked about the body part they abhorred most, the most loathed body part was, by far, the belly, if answers like “my bulging belly” were anything to go by.
We may genially refer to our expanded waistline as “pot belly”, “love handles”, or even “muffin top”, but the fat accumulated around our waist has far dire consequences than just being unpleasant to look at. Studies have shown that belly fat is one of the biggest contributors to diabetes, heart ailments, and even certain kinds of cancers- especially if we fail to reduce belly fat or get rid of belly fat completely.

In a world which is dominated by workaholics, we are always short on time and thus depend heavily on fast foods and caffeine to keep us going all day long. These are the major factors which contribute to our increasing waistline.
The sad reality is that though we may spend an extra hour in the office to complete our work, we are often finding it extremely tough to squeeze in even 30 minutes of exercise a day- exercises that can help us in losing belly fat.
Going on a crash diet and doing excessive abdominal crunches for a week would do nothing to give you long term washboard abs. If you are serious about losing belly fat for health and wellness reasons, then you need to have loads of patience, a strong will power, and a proper plan in place.
Here is the best way to lose belly fat:
•Try getting up just 30 minutes early in the morning and utilize this time to go for a brisk walk or do some simple stretching exercises at home. 30 minutes of power Yoga and Pilates are considered to be other good options to lose belly fat.
•If you are looking for answers to the question “how to lose belly fat”, then abstinence from temptation is vital. Refrain from drinking alcoholic beverages like beer which are loaded with calories. A gram of alcohol contains as much as 7 calories and is one of the major reasons behind belly fat accumulation.
•Eating a balanced diet rich in fiber and avoiding processed fast food will keep a check on your blood sugar levels and also control your hunger pangs.
•Last but not least, hit the sack early and sleep for a minimum of 6-7 hours daily. A good night’s rest will help reduce stress and help you remain active throughout the day, which in turn will help you lose that unwanted belly fat.
Most of us find it tough to get rid of belly fat, but consistent efforts in the right direction along with the right eating habits are the key to success.
